Normal scleral lenses reduce the level of HOAs substantially for most patients. Some, however, will need scleral lenses specially designed to reduce or eliminate the wavefront error that causes higher order aberrations.
By using the Visante OCT we can image the Anterior Segment of the eye in order to evaluate scleral lens fit from one edge of the lens to the other, across the entire surface of the eye.
